When you have 25 acres of runways and taxiways you need serious equipment to maintain them. This is a tandem roller, one of Jimbo's creations, which he uses to roll the runways and taxiways.
Cutting grass on 25 acres of runways and taxiways, not to mention the undeveloped lots, requires a significant mower. This piece of machinery does the job quite nicely. Even with machinery like this it is still a huge commitment on Jimbo's part to keep all this land tidy. He has been very dedicated to this work for many years now and the Air Park always looks amazing !

You just never know what you might come across while spending time at the Cable Head Air Park. The day I was there taking photos of the park I came across a fiddler walking down the side of the runway. He was staying at one of the homes in the Air Park and was practicing his musical talent in preparation for the acclaimed Rolo Bay Fiddle Festival.
